We took the long way home that weekend. We drove through Crockett so we could celebrate with Grandma Barbara. We arrived around lunch time, so we picked up some Pizza Hut pizza, Grandma's request. I had made a wreath for her nursing home door and Grandma had painted a bird house for Andrew - he really liked it.We visited for a couple hours then hit the road for the rest of the trip home.

Christmas with the Elliotts
Christmas was also celebrated with the Elliott family. We exchanged gifts with our immediate family, then later that evening we went to Grandpa Doc's with all the great Aunts & Uncles too. Andrew made a special friend while at Grandpa Doc's house... their dog, Rocky. They were best buds!

Kuklenz Christmas
The weekend festivities continued. Andrew opened his Christmas gifts after his birthday party - he was spoiled rotten this day!! We had a delicious Christmas dinner and after clean up, the adults exchanged gifts. We didn't have any organized family fun, but there were some card games, Carcassonne, and puzzles!
Happy 3rd Birthday Andrew!
This year's theme, Paw Patrol!
Mom and Jackie did a lovely job decorating. We had our family there and the neighbors family. The cake was made by a friend of mine at work. Andrew opened gifts, we ate hot DOGS and many pup treats for lunch, played pin the badge on Marshall, and of course birthday cake!!
Nana & Papa Migration
Nana & Papa Janssen traveled south for the winter and arrived just in time for some fun festivities in Texas!
Karl & Audrey and Jackie & Jonathan were staying at Mom's for the weekend, so we were lucky enough for them to stay at our house for a few days.
First stop... soccer game!

5th Anniversary
It is hard to believe we have been married for FIVE years and known each other almost TEN!
We didn't plan anything extravagant because there is so much going on this time of year, but we did find a cheap babysitter (FAMILY IS FREE) and enjoyed a dinner date at Jasper's Steakhouse. We enjoyed an appetizer, salad, steak, sweet potato, and pear cobbler for dessert.

We did however exchange gifts. I got a beautiful sapphire ring and Josh got a 18x24 in.canvas picture from our wedding with our wedding song lyrics on it.
