Car Wash

Sunday morning was spent outside washing my car and cleaning out the garage.
Andrew was a super duper helper when washing the car.

Andrew was soaking wet in the first two minutes outside.
He liked, getting wet, controlling the hose and washing the tires.

Pinterest Project

I wanted to create a wreath for our new home that would be good for all seasons. I found one I liked on Pinterest and bought the stuff to re-create it ($35). I was going to need help with a bow, so I enlisted help from mom.  I think it turned out pretty good, what do you think?

Thanks Great Grandma Lyla!

When mom and dad returned from their Iowa trip they delivered a present for Andrew from Grandma Lyla. Andrew opened it when we saw them the following weekend. He got a Berenstain Bears multi-storybook and a homemade blanket.Oh and a little treat too... didn't take him very long to gobble 'em up!

Thanks Great, Grandma Lyla for a special surprise!

Sprinkler Fun!

Almost every night this week Andrew has been running in the sprinklers while we did some yard work. I didn't get any pictures until tonight. He is so funny!

There's a HOLE in my yard!

We certainly needed some rain, but we got a little more than we bargained for!

We had some strong winds and heavy rain come through over night. As a result, we got a sinkhole in our front yard next to the driveway.  The new house across the street had one similar. His was a little bigger, square foot wise, but it was in the middle of the yard... didn't go under the driveway like ours.

Josh stuck his arm down there; he could reach back towards the tire and still didn't touch dirt.  The lead contractor for the builder noticed it and gave us a call. He said he would send some guys out in a couple days when it dries up to fix it.

Home Improvements

Our first week in the house and we've already made a few home improvements:
  • Three ceiling fans installed (office, guest bedroom and Andrew's room)
  • Garage Door Opener installed - although we are still having some issues with it. It has a mind of its own on when it wants to work
  • Felt pads installed on Kitchen cabinets and drawers
  • Tile sealed in Master Bathroom - shower and floor
  • Weeded and Fertilized the yard
We have had lots of help from Mom and Dad over the past week and we cannot thank them enough. Their love, support and guidance is very much appreciative!!!

Quietest garage door you will ever hear!

This fan is in the office

This fan is in the guest room and Andrew's room

Everything is unpacked with the exception of one office box. So now I just need to determine where I want to hang things on the wall.  It will take some thought... don't want to put any unnecessary holes in the wall!!!!

Our first visitors from out of town

Josh's Grandpa and Connie were in Dallas for the TCA (Texas Chiropractic Association) convention. They stopped by the clinic Tuesday afternoon then picked up some dinner and came to the house for a little bit.  They brought us a housewarming gift too: grill accessories, garden lights and an Ome Meter.

It was a short visit, but we are so glad we got to see them and show off our new house!
