Karl, Audrey and Aurora visit

This was Aurora's first visit to Mimi and Poppa's house. She ended up taking her first swim too!
Audrey, mom and I went out Saturday evening. We enjoyed dinner at and then traveled to Fair Park Music Hall to see Cinderella.
Sunday, we celebrated Father's Day and Dad's birthday!

Summer time = Swim time

This summer, Andrew graduated from life vest to arm floats. He is doing a wonderful job. Still learning to close his mouth when he is swimming or spit out the water rather than swallow.
He has inspired Mimi to learn to float and swim too!

Andrew & Caleb's rooms

With Caleb's arrival less than two months away we decided to upgrade Andrew from the toddler bed to a loft bed. The loft bed allows him plenty of play area in the room, which is essential for his tiny room.  His bed was purchased used from online garage sale - $200.

The toddler bed was converted back to a crib and moved into our old guest room. The guest bed was taken to Mom & Dad's house which ultimately will come in handy when they host Thanksgiving/Christmas this November!

Since this picture, curtains have been added  - Thanks Mimi!
Same bedding we had for baby Andrew!

"Come on, Mommy & Daddy"

Andrew has been playing with the neighbor boy's scooter a lot lately, we decided to get him one of his own.  Three wheels, since he doesn't have very good balance and I'm an over-protective mom! But he's getting better with practice!

Chicken Pox??

Andrew awoke with a couple red spots on his forehead. I thought they were bug bites since we have had so much rain lately. After, I picked him up from daycare that day I noticed he had some spots on his leg and arm... again I first contributed it to bug bites.  I asked the daycare lady if he had been outside and she said no, too wet.  I removed his close and he had some on his thighs, upper arms and a few on this chest and back. Probably around 30 total everywhere.  He did start itching at them later that evening. I thought they might be chicken pox, but he had been vaccinated when he was 1 year old.  I took him to the Dr. Tuesday morning to get a diagnosis as I didn't want him going back to daycare if he was contagious.  Since he had such mild case, Dr. couldn't really say for sure that he had pox. I kept him home the rest of the week just to be safe. He acted normal... no fever, loss in appetite or flu symptoms, just the spots. And they only really bothered him for a day or so. I didn't give him any itch medicine after day 2.

If he wasn't watching a movie, my office turned into a play zone. Games, books and blocks, oh my! So thankful that I work at home and have flexibility in my schedule.
