Record Rainfall & Flooding in North Texas

We had a very wet Spring. Approximately 17 inches of rain in May - second highest on record... although some areas had excess of 22 inches!

The lakes are way above pool level, most toppling over the spillway. Lewisville Lake, two blocks away from our home, reached a century high - 537 feet.  Our house sits at 548 feet... it was getting a little too close for comfort as we do not have flood insurance.

The road that runs at the back of our subdivision and along the lake was closed in two places because of the high water.
