"Holy Halloween"

We headed to The Colony for Halloween. Mimi gave Andrew his special treat bag filled with donuts, fruit snacks, animal crackers, Reeses Pieces, and suckers!  We enjoyed Papa Murphy's Pumpkin Pizza before getting in Costume and hitting the streets.

Sat out front waiting for the Hagens.

Nana's visit

Thursday we traveled to Grapeland for a funeral. We brought Nana back with us Thursday evening. We had normal day on Friday - work and daycare. But Saturday we went to pumpkin patch and craft show at Grace Avenue Methodist Church in Frisco. We picked out pumpkins, took pictures, rode on hayride, and Andrew did hay maze and jumped in his first bounce house.

It was an unseasonably warm day - high in low 80's. I was wearing a tank top and shorts!!!! BOOOO I want fall weather!!!

We tried a new local restaurant after the pumpkin patch - Towers Taphouse. It was mediocre, at best. Not sure we will be returning there.  That afternoon we played inside and out. Grilled steak and sweet potatoes for dinner followed by a walk. Upon our return we or better yet, I, started to carve pumpkins. Then I heard the ice cream truck.  Nana said, "Oh if I had my wallet"... Josh said, "NO". I told him he can't tell Grandma's NO. It's their one and only job to spoil grandkids. So she did!!!

Sunday, Jeanna and I ran a few arronds to Babies R Us, Joann Fabrics and Payless Shoes. We returned home for BLT lunch. While we were out, Nana picked up Paw Patrol DVD for Andrew. He watched that and played in the afternoon. Josh drove Jeanna to Corsicana Sunday evening to meet Dennis. It was a fun weekend!

Sick boy

Saturday morning I was awoke by Andrew sneezing and crying about 5:30. He had puked up a little mucous too. Started a load of laundry and Josh sat with him a bit.
At about 6:30 he did the same thing. He sneezed and that triggered some reflex to puke. It wasn't a lot, but it was more than earlier. Another load of laundry.
He said he felt fine and was not running a fever. A little bit later he had a poptart and milk for breakfast. Then 9:00am and without warning, there was puke EVERYWHERE!  More laundry, bath, and living room clean-up, BLACHHHH!
Then we set up Puke zone protection everywhere and slowly introduced his BRAT diet. In the afternoon he developed diarrhea, but had stopped puking. Thank god we still had some pull-ups around the house, because that could have been a disaster! He fell asleep watching TV in the afternoon, but only slept for about an hour.

He had felt fine all day and was even running around. By the evening he was cheering for Bearkat football team! Eat 'em up Kats!!!
I doubt he had a bug because we didn't get sick and he never had a fever... so must have been something he ate??? who knows?  In any event, he went to bed about 9:00pm and never had diarrhea again... Sunday was a normal day.

Texas State Fair

Mom and never been to the Texas State Fair. I have been a few times, but have never been into all the buildings and really looked at all the offerings.  We started off the day with a selfie... in the midst of a couple shots, we got photo bombed... nice.

We went into all the shopping areas and found a few gifts. The food and fiber building had a lot of tasty samples. We found a few things to purchase and take home with us.

Lunch time - Mom and I shared some nachos - the chips were Texas shaped. I immediately pondered how they did that.

There are many tasty treats at the fair. Multiple fudge shops reminded me of Grandma Dot.
After shopping we visited the animals. We also saw a dog show and pig race show.
We still had some food coupons at the end of the day so we shared a funnel cake. Mmmmmm  Then we purchased some snacks to take home and share - cotton candy and salt water taffy.  It was a great day, always love spending time with Mom!

Dallas Arboretum

The weather was very nice on Saturday. Josh and Andrew had never been to the Arboretum before, so I thought we could take advantage of the weather and get some fall pictures at the same time.We packed a picnic lunch and hit the road. I figured they would have fall landscaping, but I underestimated how much! I have never seen so many pumpkins in one place before. There were probably a million!

Parking is bad around the area. Had to park a few blocks away and ride charter bus as shuttle.

He was exhausted!
