Mom and never been to the Texas State Fair. I have been a few times, but have never been into all the buildings and really looked at all the offerings. We started off the day with a selfie... in the midst of a couple shots, we got photo bombed... nice.
We went into all the shopping areas and found a few gifts. The food and fiber building had a lot of tasty samples. We found a few things to purchase and take home with us.
Lunch time - Mom and I shared some nachos - the chips were Texas shaped. I immediately pondered how they did that. |

There are many tasty treats at the fair. Multiple fudge shops reminded me of Grandma Dot.
After shopping we visited the animals. We also saw a dog show and pig race show.
We still had some food coupons at the end of the day so we shared a funnel cake. Mmmmmm Then we purchased some snacks to take home and share - cotton candy and salt water taffy. It was a great day, always love spending time with Mom!
